Alex de Minaur and Katie Boulter will hold a second wedding after the Aussie star was blasted for tying the knot on the day of the Wimbledon men’s singles final, it has been reported.
De Minaur, 27, and Boulter, 29, tied the knot in a secret ceremony in front of close family and friends on July 12.
The couple wed at a historic church in Leicestershire near Boulter’s home village, with the Daily Mail exclusively revealing details of the intimate service.
Many fans slammed de Minaur for scheduling the wedding on a day when he could have been on centre court for the biggest match of his career, saying it shows he doesn’t have enough faith in his ability to win a Grand Slam.
But now it has been revealed that the happy couple only booked the date after they were both eliminated from the championships, according to The First Serve.
The second, bigger wedding is scheduled to be held in the next week, according to a report from tennis journalist Jessica Schiffer.

The couple’s first ceremony took place before a small congregation of family members at the same time as the men’s final at Wimbledon.
Boulter dazzled in a long white gown with her blonde hair swept up as she tied the knot with her partner of six years.
She arrived at the church in the front seat of a black Porsche Carrera with her husband-to-be, who was smartly dressed in a black suit, white shirt and bow tie.
The couple, stepping out untraditionally together before getting hitched, smiled as they walked, bride first and groom behind, before a few well-wishers.
Locals had been banned from taking any photos.
Their nuptials were described as being ‘deliberately low key’ and ‘personal’ by a source, with only family members attending.
They were then followed by a celebration in a nearby pub – a world away from the public and media glare of the world’s most feted tennis championship.
Scores of fans took aim at de Minaur once the Mail revealed the couple had exchanged vows.
‘The date surprises me – what if he’d made it to the final….?’ one person asked on X.
‘He knew he wasn’t going to make the final?’ another asked.
‘Top 10 and booking your wedding during Wimbledon, talk about ambition,’ one user added.
