Former Chiefs star JuJu Smith-Schuster and his new wife Laura Kruk have lifted the lid on their California wedding, giving fans an inside look at the glitzy celebration.
The oceanfront ceremony, held on Friday, July 10, at the luxurious Ritz-Carlton in Laguna Niguel, featured a massive guest list of A-list celebrities and NFL royalty.
Newlyweds Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce rushed to the West Coast to join the festivities, making their very first public outing together after their own nuptials.
Patrick Mahomes and his wife Brittany also made the trip, setting the stage for a spectacular Chiefs reunion as they supported their former teammate on his big day.
Speaking to Vogue about the lavish event, Kruk said: ‘We wanted our wedding to reflect who we are as people and as a couple and to be one big party.’
Meanwhile, Smith-Schuster joked about his laid-back role in the process, laughing: ‘I was a great team player by helping with the DJ and saying ‘yes’ and ‘no.’

Kruk stunned in a Steven Khalil gown, noting it was only the second dress she tried on, while Smith-Schuster wore a double-breasted white suit by Julian Abdul Studios.
The weekend kicked off with a beachside welcome party honoring Smith-Schuster’s Samoan heritage, complete with branded coconuts and Polynesian dancers.
‘It was the ceremony of my dreams’, Kruk said. ‘Guests were welcomed with Champagne upon arrival and some of our favorite love songs played by a violinist.’
Meanwhile, Smith-Schuster added: ‘The moment I saw her walking toward me, I knew without a doubt that I was marrying the woman I had prayed for’.
The reception was a high-energy affair emceed by Smith-Schuster’s aunt Jane, who ‘completely stole the show’ and ‘had everyone laughing from beginning to end.’
A major highlight was the couple performing a traditional Samoan Taualuga dance.
‘Watching her honor my family and our traditions made me incredibly proud and reminded me just how blessed I am to call her my wife,’ Smith-Schuster said.
After an incredible night of dancing, the bride couldn’t hide her joy over the electric energy their guests brought to the milestone celebration.
Smith-Schuster was equally thrilled, joking: ‘It still feels surreal finally having a ring on my finger – and for once, it’s not a Super Bowl ring.’

Reflecting on their journey with Vogue, the 29-year-old wide receiver looked back on how they first connected. ‘I went out to visit her on my playoff bye week,’ JuJu recalled.
‘First time seeing her, I said, ‘Wow, you are so beautiful,” the NFL star admitted, with Laura warmly adding: ‘He’s been my best friend ever since.’
The romance reached new heights during a surprise trip to Nantucket in September 2023 where the football star popped the question. ‘It was such a peaceful, calm day,’ the receiver shared.
‘With the lighthouse standing in the distance and the sky painted in the most breathtaking colors, it felt like time stood still. My heart was racing the entire time… It was a moment I’ll cherish forever,’ he concluded.
