The daughter-in-law of University of North Carolina coach Bill Belichick is no longer in hot water after an order for her arrest had been issued earlier this week.
Jen Belichick, the wife of Bill’s son and UNC defensive coordinator Steve Belichick, had an order put out for her arrest over her failure to appear in court in Brunswick County due to a speeding ticket.
However, this order has recently been recalled – with Jen’s lawyer blaming the whole issue on a ‘fumble.’
‘I can confirm as Mrs. Belichick’s attorney in this matter that there is no order for Mrs. Belichick’s arrest, nor is there a failure to appear,’ lawyer Alex Kintner of Coastal South Law told the California Post in a text message.
‘Both have been struck and her traffic ticket will be resolved on the next court date by me.’
Kintner added, ‘Somebody fumbled the ball last week, but we picked it up and ran with it. Go Heels.’

Jen was issued a citation after officers say she was driving 88mph in a 70mph zone. She was ordered to appear in court on Friday, but did not appear – leading to the initial arrest order.
Court records obtained by the Daily Mail show that Kintner filed a motion to recall the arrest order on Tuesday.
Under the reason why Belichick failed to appear, Kintner wrote that he was ‘just retained.’
Earlier on Wednesday, the order for arrest was recalled and a new disposition hearing has been set for September 25, per court documents.
The scheduled appearance stemmed from a speeding incident in the town of Leland on May 21, when she was clocked doing 88mph in a 70mph zone in her Jeep by North Carolina State Highway Patrol.
Due to her rate of speed, she was ordered to appear in court on July 10. However, she did not show up to her scheduled date – leading to the now-recalled arrest order being issued just after 11:00am on Monday.
Jen and Steve have been married for nearly a decade and share several children.
She made headlines last football season when she yelled at Bill Belichick’s girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, after a football game in Chapel Hill.
It’s claimed that Jen branded Hudson ‘bats*** crazy’ and accused her of ‘f***ing twisting’ the brain of her 73-year-old boyfriend. She also screamed that all Hudson ‘does is control s***.’

The cryptic exchange was part of what journalist David Covucci described to podcaster Pablo Torre as a ‘Russian nesting doll’ of competing FOIA requests. While she was reportedly seeking school emails related to Belichick’s disastrous 2025 interview with CBS, Covucci was tracking her FOIA requests with a series of his own.
‘I requested all the requests that Jordan had sent to see what she got back,’ Covucci, the editor-in-chief of FOIAball, told Torre and co-host Jessica Smetana on Friday.
‘I think she requested your request of her request,’ Smetana responded.
Covucci confirmed that was the case and then revealed the friendly nudge he got from Hudson in April via a direct message.
‘She DM’d me on Twitter, she followed me on Instagram,’ Covucci said, sharing the ‘waving’ emoji on the screen.
According to Covucci, the emoji was Hudson’s way of informing him she was aware of his investigation into hers.

Covucci agreed, and although she never replied to his friendly response, he still thinks it was Hudson reaching out to him directly over X.
All of this is made possible by a FOIA-request process that allows Americans to see the requests of their fellow citizens.
And just why, one may ask, was Hudson filing FOIA requests in the first place?
As Covucci previously revealed in lesser detail back in December, Hudson was looking for high-level athletic-department emails related to her boyfriend’s CBS interview. Covucci specifically claimed the search terms she was looking for included ‘girlfriend’, ‘Belichick’, ‘Jordon’ and ‘Hudson.’
