Julian Alvarez to Arsenal?
Arsenal are pushing to sign Atletico Madrid striker Julian Alvarez and they are keen to finalise a deal before the start of pre-season on 20 July, as per The Independent.
It’s claimed that Alvarez is open to joining the Gunners, although his preference is to remain in Spain amid interest from both Barcelona and Real Madrid. However, Atleti have no desire to strengthen either of their direct rivals, which could pave the way for Arsenal to pounce.
The Argentina striker is reportedly Arteta’s preferred attacking signing and the north London giants are now pushing to reach an agreement, although advanced negotiations over a deal may have to wait until after the World Cup.
Chelsea chase Adam Wharton
Chelsea have maintained contact with Adam Wharton’s representatives as they explore a possible summer move for the Crystal Palace midfielder.
That is according to CaughtOffside, who report that Liverpool, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur have all cooled their interest in Wharton, with Chelsea now one of the only suitors left in the race to sign him.
However, it’s reported that while Chelsea remain attentive to the situation, it’s likely that Wharton may still be a Crystal Palace player when the summer transfer window ends on 1 September.
PSG agree Ferran Torres deal
Barcelona forward Ferran Torres has reportedly reached an agreement in principle to join Paris Saint-Germain this summer.
Torres has just one year remaining on his current contract at Barcelona and he has now agreed a five-year deal with PSG, according to transfer reporter Nicolo Schira.
With Torres set to sign for PSG and the Parisians also interested in both Yan Diomande (RB Leipzig) and Maghnes Akliouche (AS Monaco), there is a strong chance that Bradley Barcola could be allowed to depart.
Mason Greenwood to join Fenerbahce
Marseille forward Mason Greenwood will join Fenerbahce this summer, and Man Utd will earn a major fee as a result of the move, as per Fabrizio Romano.
He posted on X: “Manchester United informed OM they do NOT trigger the buy back clause for Mason Greenwood.
“Fenerbahçe and Olympique Marseille now set for formal steps ahead of Greenwood deal full agreement & travel to Istanbul. Man Utd to get over £10m from sell-on clause.”
Manu Kone asking price
AS Roma will demand a fee of €55 million to sell Manu Kone this summer, with several top clubs eager to sign him following his form at the World Cup.
That is according to a report from Corriere dello Sport (via Manchester Evening News), who report that €50m will not be enough to sign the France international, despite previous rumours to the contrary.
Kone has emerged as a top target for Man Utd following news that Ederson has failed his medical, but the Red Devils will face strong competition for the midfielder, who has also been linked with a summer move to Arsenal.
