Iran says it will not let the US ‘interfere’ in managing Hormuz

Iran’s top joint military command said that Iran will not allow the US to intervene in the management of the Strait of Hormuz and that any attempt by the US to transit through the waterway without Iran’s authorisation would be strongly confronted.

Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters warned leaders of regional countries that any cooperation with the US will be considered a threat of war against Iran and it will be the responsibility of the US and its allies if the war widens to affect all countries in the region, in a statement carried by state media on Monday.

This comes after Trump said earlier that the US would be paid to run the strait amid growing tensions between the countries.
