Scandalized college wrestler AJ Ferrari has found himself in trouble with the law yet again just days after arrest for fleeing police in a high-speed chase.
A warrant for the national champion’s arrest was issued last Thursday for allegedly assaulting a pregnant woman in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Ferrari is facing charges of strangling a pregnant woman, third-degree domestic violence assault of a pregnant woman causing bodily injuries and first-degree false imprisonment, according to KETV.
Lincoln police reportedly responded an apartment in north Lincoln on May 8 where Ferrari and a pregnant woman allegedly got into a fight, according to an affidavit for his arrest viewed by the outlet.
Ferrari, who still has a year of college eligibility remaining despite beginning his career in 2020, allegedly would not let the woman leave.
The woman claimed that the wrestling champion dragged her off the bed by her feet before strangling her.

She is said to have told police that she tried to kick Ferrari as she feared for the safety of her unborn child.
She reportedly managed to free herself and called her mother, who made the call to law enforcement.
The woman was taken to hospital and reportedly suffered abrasions on her neck and bruises, injuries consistent with strangulation.
Douglas County Sheriff’s Office’s Special Operations Group detained Ferrari on Tuesday over the outstanding arrest warrant.
DCSO says SOG investigators were watching a home where Ferrari was allegedly staying near Bennington. Around 10:45am local time on Tuesday , a woman was seen leaving the residence to get into the truck in the driveway of the home.
According to DCSO, investigators then saw a man, identified as Ferrari, ‘crawling out of the garage’ and getting inside the backseat of the vehicle.
Investigators then followed the truck in unmarked vehicles before alerting the DCSO’s Uniformed Services Bureau (USB) of the truck’s location.
The USB then performed a traffic stop and Ferrari was taken into custody without incident.

The arrest is just the latest twist in a legal saga for Ferrari who was arrested on June 27.
According to sheriff’s department records, Ferrari was charged with ‘flight to avoid arrest’ as well as willful reckless driving and obstructing the police.
Ferrari was accused of driving down Highway 83 at over 120mph in an attempt to flee police.
After crashing his Corvette ‘into a ditch’ Ferrari then took off on foot in an ill-fated attempt to flee officers.
Ferrari had been arrested twice previously in his college career that began at Oklahoma State in the 2020-21 season.
Ferrari won a national championship in the 197 pound weight class as a true freshman for the Cowboys.
However, he later departed the team after he was arrested amid a sexual assault case which was later dropped.
Ferrari then left for the University of Iowa. There, he became notable for punching a teammate and flipping off the crowd with his middle finger.
He then went to Cal State-Bakersfield – where he mostly stayed out of legal trouble before finishing third in the NCAA Tournament in 2025.
After a failed attempt to transfer to the University of North Carolina, Ferrari went to Nebraska for this past season.
Earlier in the season, Ferrari was arrested on an outstanding warrant issued for him.
While he still has a year of eligibility remaining, Ferrari is unlikely to find another school considering his lengthy rap sheet.
