All the latest Chelsea transfer news in one place, including updates on Yasin Ayari, Trevoh Chalobah and Enzo Fernandez.
Ayari admired
Chelsea are among the clubs interested in Brighton midfielder Yasin Ayari, CaughtOffside claims.
The versatile Sweden international only has a year left to run on his contract, which is making him increasingly attractive to suitors in what is shaping up to be the summer of midfielders.
Brighton are currently locked in talks with the 22-year-old over a new deal, but a host of Premier League clubs are keeping a close eye on the situation, including Chelsea.
Chalobah wants Inter
Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah is keen on a move to Inter, as per Corriere dello Sport.
The England defender’s agent was recently in Milan to discuss a deal with Como, but Cesc Fabregas and company are unwilling to match Chelsea’s €35 million asking price as things stand. The massive €60m fee required to sign Nico Paz (again) has forced them to change their transfer plans.
This has allowed Inter to swoop in, although they, too, are currently trying to negotiate his price. Chalobah has become the club’s top defensive target. Oumar Solet and Nathan Ake were also on Inter’s shortlist, but doubts emerged over the former, while the latter has joined Fenerbahce.
Fernandez to Arsenal?
Man City are currently not discussing a deal for Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez, Fabrizio Romano reports.
The Argentina international wants to leave the club and has his heart set on a move to Real Madrid. However, Los Blancos released a statement on Friday, saying they have no interest in making a move for him.
Instead, it has been claimed that Arsenal and Man City have begun “gathering information” on Fernandez, but Romano insists that the latter are not looking into a deal, despite the appointment of former Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca.
“My understanding is that Manchester City are not in conversation for Enzo Fernandez,” Romano said. “At the moment, it’s cold between Enzo and Man City.”
Bouaddi to be loaned back
Chelsea are willing to loan Ayyoub Bouaddi back to Lille if a deal were to be agreed, TEAMtalk writes.
The Ligue 1 club have requested to keep the midfielder for another season after Man City indicated a willingness to keep him at the club until 2027. Chelsea are also in the mix to sign him and would be prepared to do the same.
However, this does not give the Blues or Man City a unique advantage, as Arsenal and PSG have also informed Lille that they are happy to wait until next year before being able to use him. Only Liverpool and Man Utd want to sign him immediately.
Scott approach expected
Bournemouth are braced for approaches for Alex Scott, Ben Jacobs understands.
The England midfielder has become a key target for numerous Premier League heavyweights, with Chelsea among the clubs known to admire him. Bournemouth are not budging from their not-for-sale stance and are planning to hold talks with him over a new deal.
Nevertheless, Jacobs states that clubs are expected to test Bournemouth’s resolve “in the coming days,” which suggests that offers could be made for the 22-year-old.
