See the moment Novak Djokovic 'gives a ball girl a heart attack' with practical joke at Wimbledon

Tennis legend Novak Djokovic has stunned a ball girl at Wimbledon by pretending she accidentally cut his arm while she was helping him fix a problem with his clothing.

The incident took place after Djokovic raced to a two-set lead against Stefanos Tsitsipas in the second round of the major.

Djokovic eventually cruised to another win after claiming the third set 6-2 in a dominant victory.

But although he was focused on winning his match, he still found time to keep one of Wimbledon’s ball kids on her toes.

During a changeover, the 24-time Grand Slam champion asked the ball girl to cut something off the sleeve of his shirt.

He then hilariously recoiled like she’d cut into him with the scissors.

The youngster’s reaction was priceless, immediately placing her hand on her chest in shock after believing she had accidentally hurt the Serbian star.

‘I guess this kind of thing surfaces when you’re two sets to love up, rather than two sets to love down,’ Djokovic said after the match.

‘I’m sorry if I scared her. It was not that great of a joke. It made me a bit more relaxed on the court, I guess.’

Fans on social media were left in hysterics by the funny moment.

‘She looked like she was about to apologise for ending his Wimbledon,’ one person wrote on X.

‘Lol, the girl must have had a panic attack at first,’ another wrote.

‘His sense of humour is top notch,’ a third added.

Djokovic extended his head-to-head record against Tsitsipas to 13-2 and booked his place in yet another Wimbledon third round.

His performance was watched by a packed Centre Court crowd and also caught the attention of two-time major golf champion Rory McIlroy.

McIlroy was spotted wearing his green Masters jacket, prompting Djokovic to light-heartedly express his desire to take it from him.

‘Rory, what a beautiful jacket. Is that a Masters jacket? It must be,’ Djokovic called out to McIlroy.

‘I want that jacket! I’ll play you.’
