Manchester United have held exploratory talks with West Ham for winger Crysencio Summerville.

As Daily Mail Sport previously reported last month, Netherlands international Summerville is on United’s list but the current expectation is that Marcus Rashford would have to depart before they move for another winger.

United’s priority remains to add another midfielder after missing out on Mateus Fernandes who left West Ham for Tottenham this week in an £85million move.

However, they want to understand the figures around Summerville should that deal come back into play.

West Ham also have other clubs in the Premier League and abroad enquiring.

United are expected to ask Bournemouth about figures for Alex Scott as they consider their next steps in the market.

They also want another goalkeeper but that hinges on Altay Bayindir departing.

Rashford is open to staying at United but both sides anticipate further interest after the World Cup.
