Patrick Mahomes is making the most of his downtime as he continues his recovery alongside his loved ones.
The Kansas City Chiefs star has seemingly been soaking up every minute of quality time with his family that he can ahead of his return to the NFL in September.
The quarterback’s wife, Brittany, shared a series of sweet snaps of the NFL star and their three children – Sterling, five, Bronze, three, and Golden, one – enjoying the summer.
‘We’ve been having the time of our lives,’ the mother-of-three captioned the Instagram post.
The adorable family of five were captured on many adventures, getting up close and personal with wildlife.
They appeared to hit the zoo, with Brittany seen holding hands with an excitedly beaming Bronze and Sterling while Patrick cradled Golden with an elephant in the background.

In other photos, they appeared to be in the back of a safari-style vehicle as they passed by two giraffes, while wriggling Golden was caught trying to clamber on her dad’s back.
While the little one did not appear too interested in the giraffes, she seemed to be a fan of the anteaters.
Golden, who was born just days before the Chiefs’ divisional playoff game against the Houston Texans in 2025, petted a Southern Tamandua at the encouragement of Brittany.
Sterling embraced her big sister role as she affectionately guided her younger siblings, wrapping an arm around Bronze while clasping the youngest’s hand.
The family appeared to enjoy relaxing alongside their action-packed days out, lounging around the pool in matching swimsuits and swim trunks.
Meanwhile, Patrick’s ACL injury appeared to be making good progress as he played the role of doting dad.
The signal caller had no issue hoisting his children onto his lap or onto railings to help them better see the animals.
Mahomes underwent season-ending surgery last December after tearing ligaments in his left knee in the waning minutes of a loss to the LA Chargers.

He has spent the entire offseason rehabbing the injury in Kansas City, and has been on the field for the entirety of the Chiefs’ offseason program.
Mahomes has insisted ever since his injury that his goal was to be ready for Week 1 of the coming NFL season.
Earlier this month, the quarterback signed the first-ever NFL deal worth over half a billion dollars after reworking his contract with the Chiefs.
Mahomes and the Chiefs agreed to restructured terms which add two years to his deal and push the total compensation past $500 million, which will mark a league record.
The three-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback signed a 10-year, $450m contract in 2020 that set a benchmark not only for his position but for any football player. The latest extension ties him to the Chiefs through the 2033 season, when he will be 38.
It comes in at a staggering $504.75m, with incentives and escalators that could push the value to $522.25m.
Brittany and Patrick were also seen enjoying a World Cup date night earlier this month.
