Kyle Busch’s widow Samantha has revealed the devastating way her four year-old daughter Lennix is remembering her dad, a little over a month after the NASCAR great’s sudden death.
Busch died on May 21 at age 41 after being taken ill in a racing simulator in North Carolina. It was later determined that he had sepsis, caused by pneumonia, which led to a rapid formation of blood clots.
He left behind two children in daughter Lennix and son Brexton, an older brother to Lennix and an aspiring racer. And his wife Samantha, in a heartbreaking social media post this week, has revealed how Lennix has started to process her father no longer being around.
Posting a picture to Instagram of Lennix eating her breakfast in front of two pictures of her father, Samantha wrote: ‘Morning breakfast with Daddy.
‘She wakes up every day, tells him how her sleep was, what she’s doing today and asks if he’s having fun in heaven.’
The race car driver was cremated in Mooresville, North Carolina, his death certificate showed.

A little over a week ago Samantha, 40, shared a devastating Father’s Day tribute to her late husband – the first Father’s Day since he died.
‘This still doesn’t feel real at all,’ Samantha captioned the post.
She revealed, ‘I was up all night thinking about what today should have looked like for Kyle and the kids. The Father’s Day cards that were already made, sitting in a drawer with no one to give them to. Trying to figure out how to navigate a day that should be filled with so much joy for them.’
‘He was the dad who never missed a chance to be silly, race the kids around the neighborhood, wrap them in his arms, or stay up a little longer for one more book, one more question, one more moment.’
She added that nothing made Kyle ‘prouder’ than being a father.
‘Kyle, the kids and I miss you every second of every day,’ she continued. ‘Our hearts ache for you, but it’s more than that. Your absence is something we physically feel.
‘Our bodies hurt from missing you, from reaching for someone who isn’t there, from loving someone we can’t hold anymore.
‘I will keep telling your stories, sharing your laughs, and making sure Brexton and Lennix always know just how deeply they were loved by their dad.’
The couple publicly documented their journey through IVF in order to start a family. They also started a charity to help others to have access to the healthcare.
Their work saw Donald Trump invite Samantha to the White House last year to discuss the President’s efforts to lower the cost of treatments.
