Security agencies in the Gaza Strip, in cooperation with the Radaa force affiliated with the Resistance Security, said they had foiled an attempt to smuggle a large quantity of drugs through a route allegedly linked to gangs collaborating with the Israeli occupation.
In a statement received by Quds Press on Monday, the force said the drugs had been seized and those allegedly involved had been detained pending legal action.
The statement said the alleged smuggling attempt was part of what it described as Israeli efforts to use collaborators and other networks to undermine the security of Palestinian society by bringing the scourge of drugs into the Gaza Strip.
The force added that the security agencies would continue pursuing anyone seeking to undermine the security of the Palestinian people or serve hostile agendas, stressing that protecting the internal front remains an ongoing responsibility and that all those involved would continue to be tracked and prosecuted regardless of the circumstances.
