A horror plane crash rocked a town in north-eastern France on Sunday morning. Emergency services rushed to Tomblaine, near Nancy, on June 28, and have cordoned off a large area of Rue Salvador Allende located near an Auchan supermarket.
Police have urged members of the public to avoid the area, while the prefecture of Meurthe-et-Moselle confirmed the incident involved a civilian aircraft that had taken off the Nancy-Essey air hub. The local prefect, the message shared on X has added, “has decided to activate the departmental operational centre (COD) in the presence of all operational services in order to ensure real-time monitoring of the event”. Officials haven’t yet shared details about the aircraft nor possible casualties, but local news outlets have claimed “several” people were on board. The plane, L’Est Republicain wrote, was reportedly carrying a group of people for a skydiving experience.
