Leeds United have agreed to sell Pascal Struijk to Brighton in a £20million deal.
The 26-year-old left-footed centre-back is a popular figure at Elland Road but Leeds had been struggling to tie him down to a new deal.
Brighton are still to formalise their bid but matters were verbally agreed on Saturday.
Leeds had proposed a new contract, but Struijk wanted a fresh challenge and they could ill afford to lose him for nothing next summer.
Pascal Struijk’s eight-year spell at Elland Road is set to end with a move to Brighton
Struijk joined Leeds in 2018 and has made 196 appearances for the club.
Brighton sold Jan Paul van Hecke to Spurs for £52m and had three offers for Luka Vuskovic rejected.
They have opened talks with Atalanta for Honest Ahanor, 18, and with Venezia on Austria’s World Cup defender Michael Svoboda.
