An analyst from Israel’s Channel 13 news agency said on the broadcast that Israel is “leading Lebanon to a civil war”, calling this Israel’s “goal from the start”.
“It seems we’re leading Lebanon to a civil war. Maybe it’s not so bad for us, let the Lebanese government fight Hezbollah,” Channel 13 stated.
This comes as protests broke out in Beirut on Friday evening following the signing of a US-brokered deal between Israel and Lebanon which puts Lebanese Armed Forces in charge of disarming Hezbollah in the south.
