Alejandro Garnacho has been active on TikTok since his £40m move to Chelsea
Football fans have suggested that Chelsea winger Alejandro Garnacho ‘misses home’ after he reposted a TikTok relating to Manchester United, despite having arrived at Stamford Bridge last summer. The 21-year-old completed a £40million switch to west London during the latter stages of the transfer window, following his fall from favour under Ruben Amorim.
Yet the Argentina international has struggled to leave a lasting impression since his arrival, managing just a single Premier League goal and four assists. Garnacho has also spent a considerable portion of the 2025/26 campaign playing second fiddle to Pedro Neto, featuring in just 14 starting line-ups for the club.
Despite his departure from Old Trafford, the winger’s TikTok account, which commands an impressive 6.2million followers, remains dominated by content from his time at United. Notably absent from his main feed is any Chelsea-related material, though he has reshared a handful of clips of himself in Blues colours.

His most recent repost, however, has sparked speculation among supporters that he is pining for life back in Greater Manchester. Garnacho took to the platform to re-share an image of the 2024 FA Cup final line-up, depicted through a display of flags.
It was a fixture in which Garnacho played an instrumental role, as United pulled off a stunning 2-1 victory over Manchester City, alongside the likes of Bruno Fernandes, Marcus Rashford and Scott McTominay, amongst others. The peculiar post has prompted a wave of speculation on social media, with many fans questioning whether it signals that Garnacho is pining for his former club.
In the replies to a post about the video shared on X, one supporter wrote: “He misses home,” accompanied by a laughing emoji.
Another commented: “Dude want to come back to Man Utd by all means,” while a third observed: “He’s really missing the good old days.”

Not every fan, however, was so readily willing to welcome Garnacho back with open arms given the manner in which his United departure unfolded. One supporter sarcastically remarked: “No take backsies. Bye bye,” while another vented: “The team he thought he was too good for.”
Garnacho’s first season at Chelsea has been disappointing on a personal level. The Blues also ended the campaign in 10th place, despite spending much of the year in the European spots before their late‑season dip in form.
