Another child has died after getting locked inside a car in France as the country endures scorching temperatures.
The 3-year-old child was found dead by his parents Wednesday evening in Saint-Gratien in northern Paris.
Emergency services were called around 7pm after the child was discovered in cardiac arrest locked in the family vehicle as temperatures hit 39C in the region. Firefighters attempted to resuscitate the child, but he passed away despite their best efforts.
The child had reportedly locked himself inside his parents’ car, which was parked in front of the family home, without telling anyone.
His parents reportedly lost sight of him for about 45 minutes. Shortly before he was last seen he had said he wanted to take a nap, Le Parisien reports.
