Sports247 reports that, although Olise has excelled as a winger for club and country, the mulatto lad disclosed that his natural talent is best suited for playing through the middle, instead of down the flanks.
Since joining Bayern from Crystal Palace of England for €53m in July 2024, the 24-year-old Olise has hit 42 goals and provided 54 assists in 107 games for The Bavarians, all of which have come from his role as a winger.
However, though he has largely impressed from the right flank, Olise told French outlet, L’Equipe he prefers being the one dictating play from the middle, which he believes best suits his technique and style.
“Where do I feel most comfortable? I think it’s as a number 10. It’s a freer role. I grew up playing as a number 10. Not at the moment, because I’m playing on the wing, but I think that’s what feels most natural to me,” Olise expatiated.
