Vladimir Putin’s chief TV propagandist has launched into a terrifying live tirade following drone attacks on Moscow, declaring that a nuclear strike is now “inevitable” and openly calling for devastating military strikes against European nations. Vladimir Solovyov, speaking live on his morning broadcast as air defences boomed in the background, told viewers that the conflict has escalated far beyond Ukraine’s borders, warning that Western nations are now facing direct retaliation.
“Good morning, dear friends,” Solovyov began. “Our district is under attack. An attack is currently underway. The air defences are working and shooting them down. This is war.” Responding directly to an agitated viewer who asked when Russia would finally “press the nuclear button” to wipe out its enemies, Solovyov did not hold back and openly championed the use of Moscow’s atomic arsenal.
“I don’t just want this. I am simply convinced that it is necessary and that it is inevitable, and I have been saying this for quite a long time,” Solovyov said.
He went on to savage “weak” Russian military experts who had previously cautioned against using nuclear weapons due to the risk of radioactive fallout poisoning European civilian populations, branding their hesitation a “complete disgrace”.
As reports of multiple drones breaching Moscow’s airspace continued to flood in live on air, Solovyov warned that Russia must now unleash its most destructive weaponry without mercy – explicitly threatening Western Europe.
“This is war… This means the society must pull itself together, do everything possible, and make decisions. If it means strikes on Europe, then it means strikes on Europe. If it means using even more powerful weapons on the territory of Ukraine, then it means using even more powerful weapons.”
Solovyov went on to tell viewers who are terrified by the bombing of the capital that they have no place in Russia: “Leave. Leave if you are weak, if you have nothing Russian in you. Go the way of traitors… Leave your homeland, join the thin, disgusting ranks of Vlasovite traitors, and start flinging mud at your own country.”
In another chilling moment of the broadcast, Solovyov holds up a historical text to the camera to issue a direct threat to any Russian citizens panicking or questioning the war: “I will once again quote the great words of the Generalissimo [supreme military commander]. Here is what Joseph Vissarionovich Stalin said – I’ll show it to you like this: ‘Panic-mongers and cowards must be destroyed on the spot.'”
