Victor Osimhen is a dream target

Victor Osimhen is regarded as a “dream target” by the Man Utd board, according to a report from CaughtOffside.

The Red Devils are keen to sign a new striker to support Benjamin Sesko next season and Osimhen, who has shone since joining Galatasaray, is seen as their preferred option for the role.

However, Galatasaray have no intention of sanctioning a sale, while his wage demands mean Man Utd would be unlikely to afford a deal in any case.

Jean-Philippe Mateta, Dusan Vlahovic, Eli Junior Kroupi and Robert Lewandowski are also reportedly on Man Utd’s transfer wishlist.

Elliot Anderson to join Man City

Man Utd target Elliot Anderson is on the verge of finalising a move to Manchester City, as confirmed by football transfer news expert Fabrizio Romano.

Man City have been in talks with the Nottingham Forest hierarchy over a deal for Anderson for weeks and it has been widely reported that the England star is keen to join the eight-time Premier League champions this summer.

He is expected to become the first signing of the Enzo Maresca era at the Etihad Stadium, with the Italian set to be appointed as Pep Guardiola’s permanent replacement, and Romano has confirmed that a deal is close to being agreed.

“Manchester City are confident to get Elliot Anderson deal done, now at the final stages after work behind the scenes,” the transfer expert posted on his X account.

“New round of talks to take place for the English midfielder who would undergo medical in the US before joining Man City if all goes to plan.”

Marcus Rashford message

Ex-Chelsea defender William Gallas has urged his former club to pursue a deal for Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford this summer.

The England winger spent last season on loan at La Liga giants Barcelona, but he will return to Old Trafford after the World Cup before being sold on a permanent deal if Michael Carrick’s side receive a suitable offer.

“I think Marcus Rashford did well at Barcelona,” Gallas told eSPORTY (via Football.London). “They had a good system. I’m surprised he didn’t sign for them permanently. I don’t know what happened.

“I don’t know if Arsenal want to sign him, but I would say Chelsea would be a better fit given how they play.

“I don’t think he would fit at Arsenal. I’m sure he wanted to stay in Barcelona, but it didn’t happen. If he has to come back to the Premier League, or maybe go somewhere else like Italy, we will see. But I could picture him at Chelsea.”

Man Utd fans blamed for Scott McTominay exit

Scotland manager Steve Clarke has slammed Man Utd’s ‘keyboard warrior’ supporters for their treatment of Scott McTominay, suggesting they played a role in chasing the Ballon d’Or nominee out of the club.

McTominay joined Napoli for €30.5m in 2024 and the 29-year-old led Antonio Conte’s side to the Serie A title in his first campaign, despite being widely criticised during his time at Old Trafford.

“People think his story is amazing, but he’s just another example of social media critics,” Clarke told Telegraph Sport. “He played at Manchester United and every manager who went in always picked him.

“Sometimes he wouldn’t start. There would be games sometimes when he’d come off the bench, but he was always involved and always playing minutes. Maybe if he had the same backing and support from the social media keyboard warriors at United he would still be there and be a key player for them.

“I don’t think he’s too disappointed with how his move to Italy has worked out.”

Ayyoub Bouaddi wanted

Man Utd are ready to rival Barcelona and Real Madrid in the race to sign Lille wonderkid Ayyoub Bouaddi, according to Fichajes.

The Morocco international starred against Brazil at the World Cup and rumours over a possible summer move have intensified as a result, with Man Utd keen to bring him to Old Trafford amid their pursuit of midfield reinforcements.

The Red Devils have earmarked him as a potential summer signing, although Lille have previously stated that a sale won’t be sanctioned in 2026.
