Crysencio Summerville has potential suitors in the Premier League and beyond

Crysencio Summerville could join former Manchester United star Mason Greenwood in Serie A if he leaves West Ham this summer. Greenwood has agreed to a permanent move to Roma, according to reports in Italy, and Summerville may follow.
The one-cap England international, 24, provided 26 goals and 11 assists in 45 appearances for Marseille this season. With the French club mired in turmoil after missing out on European football, Greenwood is said to be eager to make the switch to Serie A during the summer transfer window.
Italian publication Corriere dello Sport reports that personal terms have already been thrashed out between Roma and the player, who is anticipated to feature under Gian Piero Gasperini next season. The Englishman has been pinpointed by Roma as a priority signing ahead of the new campaign.
However, Greenwood is not the only piece of Roma’s transfer activity that could have ramifications at Old Trafford. The Italian club are also looking to bolster their left flank and are said to be chasing Summerville.
The Dutch star has caught the eye of numerous clubs, including some in the Premier League, following his impressive performances. The Hammers’ recent relegation means Summerville, who is currently representing the Netherlands at the World Cup, could be available for a fee of around £50million.
Roma’s involvement may prove an unwelcome twist in United’s pursuit of the 24 year old, potentially pushing his valuation higher, while his World Cup showings are unlikely to knock much off the Hammers’ valuation.
The Athletic reports that United are amongst several clubs monitoring Summerville, having already made an initial enquiry to West Ham regarding his availability. Summerville, whose contract runs until June 2029, is one of West Ham’s most marketable assets following their relegation and could be sold to soften the financial blow of the drop to the second tier.
His adaptability has made him an appealing prospect for United should they pursue a winger this summer, although bolstering the midfield will remain the club’s priority. Fellow Irons star Mateus Fernandes remains another key target.
United could also be boosted by Greenwood’s purported move to Roma as they would pocket 40 per cent of the profit on the transfer fee should the deal go through. This is due to to asubstantial sell-on clause negotiated during his £26m move to Marseille back in 2024, and any funds could be put towards a Summerville bid.
