The Iranian Khatam al-Anbiya Headquarters said on Tuesday that Israel has violated the ceasefire in southern Lebanon 84 times over the past two days, warning that continued actions would trigger a “harsh” response.
The headquarters said in a statement that the Israeli army had “violated the ceasefire in southern Lebanon 84 times over the past two days”.
The statement further alleged that Israeli forces persisted in their attacks and killings in Lebanon even after US President Donald Trump announced the end of the war. It warned that if Israel continues its actions in southern Lebanon, it should expect a “harsh response” from Iranian armed forces.
On the ground, Israeli forces continued strikes and demolitions in southern Lebanon, which Khatam al-Anbiya described as a clear challenge to the US-Iran understanding aimed at ending the conflict, including in Lebanon.

Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz has said that Israel will retain positions it has taken inside Lebanon and will not withdraw, while also warning Iran against any action targeting Israel in relation to the Lebanese front.
Katz also indicated that Israel intends to maintain a long-term presence in parts of Lebanon, Syria and the Gaza Strip.
Meanwhile, the Israeli newspaper Maariv reported that Israeli security officials fear difficulties in preventing a rapid withdrawal of troops from Lebanon under pressure linked to the agreement with Iran.
