Chelsea not in for Scott

Chelsea have been heavily linked with Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott in recent weeks, but he is not among their midfield targets, as per football.london.

The Blues have a list of numerous midfield options they are considering this summer, but the England star is not among them. Scott has also been associated with Man Utd, while Bournemouth are hoping to tie him down to a new long-term contract.

One name on Chelsea’s list is Crystal Palace star Adam Wharton. However, sources close to the Blues deem a transfer unlikely at the moment as they expect him to cost in excess of €100 million.

Real Madrid in Fernandes battle with Man Utd

Real Madrid have made “contact” with West Ham midfielder Mateus Fernandes, TEAMtalk claims.

The Portugal international is admired by new Blancos boss Jose Mourinho, and Real Madrid have now begun exploring a deal. However, Man Utd are believed to still be in the box seat for the Hammers star.

The Red Devils have stepped up their efforts to sign Fernandes in recent weeks. Old Trafford is thought to be his most likely destination at this stage, and a first bid from Man Utd is said to be imminent.

Nunez back to Liverpool?

Al-Hilal striker Darwin Nunez will return to Liverpool this summer, Juan Pablo Romero insists.

The Uruguay international is set to leave Al-Hilal after being deregistered from their Saudi Pro League squad in February. Nunez has been linked with Chelsea and a surprising return to Liverpool in recent weeks.

Journalist Romero, who is currently with Uruguay at the World Cup, claims that word coming out of the team is that Nunez is on the verge of finalising a return to Liverpool. Only a few contract details still need to be agreed, he says.

The deal will not be announced during the World Cup, however, to allow Nunez to fully focus on leading the line for his country.

Arsenal still keen on Mingueza

Arsenal remain interested in Celta Vigo defender Oscar Mingueza, according to AS.

The right-back will become a free agent after deciding not to sign a new contract, and he has his heart set on a move to the Premier League. Currently, there are two serious options for him, but long-standing admirers Aston Villa are not among them.

Instead, Arsenal and Newcastle are vying for his signature. The Gunners were already linked earlier this year, but this rumour eventually went quiet. However, Mikel Arteta remains a huge fan of his compatriot and still wants him to join this summer.

Chelsea enter Bouaddi race

Chelsea have joined the race to sign Lille sensation Ayyoub Bouaddi, eSPORTY reports.

The Morocco international starred on his World Cup debut against Brazil at the weekend, which has since resulted in heightened transfer speculation. Ahead of the game, it was claimed that Arsenal were confident of agreeing a deal for him.

Now, though, it seems that the race for his signature remains open. In addition to Chelsea, Liverpool are also among Bouaddi’s long list of admirers. It is thought that he could be signed for around €60m this summer.
