Opinion: Iran dealt Israel a crushing defeat and vindicated America's anti-war majority

Professor of Iranian Studies and Comparative Literature at Columbia University Hamid Dabashi argues in his latest article for Middle East Eye that Israel is more isolated than ever following the US-Israeli war on Iran.

In contrast to the justifications for Israeli victory over Iran pushed by pro-war pundits, “Israel has been dealt a crushing defeat of historic proportions”, according to Dabashi, arguing that instead of weakening the Islamic Republic, Iran is instead “stronger than it was before”.

This provides vindication to the overwhelming majority of Americans who opposed this war and, like the rest of the world, view Israel in a much more unfavourable light as a result.
