Arsenal are looking to bolster their squad this summer with Mikel Arteta eyeing up one or two marquee signings, including an £86m-rated star currently playing in Italy
Reaching the mountaintop is hard – but it’s even harder to stay there. Arsenal must bear this in mind as they gear up to defend their first Premier League crown in more than two decades.
With their Champions League heartbreak now behind them, focus at the Emirates Stadium is already shifting toward next season. Mikel Arteta is expected to reinforce an already title-winning squad, with at multiple headline signings expected.
Wide positions remain a key priority, especially after injury-hit campaigns for both senior right wingers Bukayo Saka and Noni Madueke. However, the left-hand side of attack is shaping up to be the main area of focus this summer, with Arsenal aiming to recruit not only an elite starter but also strong depth at the top level.
With that in mind, football.london is rounding up the latest Arsenal transfer updates – including links to a major Serie A talent, as well as a highly rated 16-year-old prospect from the Midlands.

£86m-rated Kenan Yildiz targeted
Arsenal are considering a blockbuster move for Juventus forward Kenan Yildiz. The Turkey international has stood out as one of Serie A’s most exciting young talents over the past couple of seasons, with Europe’s top clubs closely monitoring his rapid progress.
It’s understood Mikel Arteta views him as a ‘dream target’ for the left wing and while no official approach has been made yet, the Gunners are reportedly prepared to pay top dollar for the 21-year-old. Juventus are said to value him at around €100million (£86m) and although that figure is significant, it has not deterred Arsenal from exploring a potential deal.
Any transfer for Yildiz is likely to be paused until after the World Cup, with the winger currently concentrating on Turkey’s campaign in North America. Arsenal’s interest highlights their ambition to bring in genuine world-class quality in wide areas as they look to stay ahead of their Premier League rivals.
Deal ‘advancing’ for Leicester wonderkid
Arsenal are actively working on a move to sign Leicester youngster Jeremy Monga. The 16-year-old is regarded as one of the most talented prospects in the country and was a rare bright spot in an otherwise disappointing 2025/26 season for the Foxes, which ended in relegation to League 1.
As a result, the club are expected to raise funds and Monga could be one of the players sacrificed. It’s understood Leicester will be asking for around £17m for the teenager but Arsenal are hoping to complete a deal closer to £10m.
Transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano confirmed on Friday that a deal for Monga was “advancing” and that while Arsenal are still pursuing other targets, they’re eager to wrap up negotiations for the England U19s star as soon as possible.
