Arsenal are looking to strengthen their squad for their Premier League title defence and are lining up a £34million transfer
Arsenal are lining up a £34m transfer for Club Brugge winger Christos Tzolis after an impressive campaign. The 24-year-old has scored an impressive 43 goals for Club Brugge across two seasons, having netted 23 times for Fortuna Dusseldorf in the German second tier in 2023-24.
The Athletic claims the Gunners are looking to sign the Greek international, and a move for the winger would not impact any future transfer for Morgan Rogers
Mikel Arteta’s side are keen on adding some quality to the final third of the pitch and have been linked with both Rogers and Paris Saint-Germain’s Bradley Barcola.
Both could cost in the region of £80n, which would be a significant investment from the Arsenal owners once again.
They spent roughly £250m in last summer’s transfer window, bringing in the likes of Viktor Gyokeres, Eberechi Eze and Noni Madueke to bolster their attacking options.
However, Arteta is not finished there and wants to strengthen the left-hand side of the attack. The Gunners have also reportedly made contact with Juventus regarding the availability of Turkish international Kenan Yildiz, only to be told he’s not for sale.
A move for Tzolis would be a shrewd addition given his goalscoring exploits in recent seasons and has already made it clear he’d be open to a move to a Champions League side.

When asked by Nieuwsblad last month what sort of team could convince him to leave Club Brugge, Tzolis replied: “It will have to be a Champions League team from England, Germany, Spain, or Italy.
“Or well, if PSG comes knocking, I’ll probably go too, right? (laughs) Then I’ll say I love France. But only PSG is a better option in France than Club Brugge.
“There might be a few more possibilities in the Premier League.”
England international, Rogers, is a target for Arsenal this summer, with Arteta said to be pushing for the club to sign the 23-year-old, who has starred for Aston Villa this season.
Rogers is currently on international duty with the Three Lions and looks set to play a major role in Thomas Tuchel’s squad.
After defeat to PSG in the Champions League final, Arteta called on the Arsenal hierarchy to show their ambition.

“First of all, I will take a few days with my family and then we will start the process to review what we have done,” he said after the defeat.
“We will have to start making some very important decisions if we want to reach another level.
“We are going to have to show that ambition because we are more than capable of doing it, but it is going to demand us to be very ambitious, very fast and very smart.”
