US Vice President JD Vance says any potential deal with Iran would place the concerns of the US and its allies at the centre of the agreement.
“If the Islamic Republic of Iran meets its obligations, then economic benefits will flow to them and to the entire region,” Vance wrote on X.
Vance insisted that Iran would not receive cash or gain access to frozen funds merely for signing an agreement or attending talks.
“This deal has the potential to remake the region and lead to lasting peace,” he said, adding that Trump “is going to get us a good outcome, one way or the other”.
