Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, the country’s top joint military command, said it will target any ship transiting the Strait of Hormuz, according to the Tasnim news agency
It also added that the strait is now “completely closed to all types of vessel”, following fresh US attacks against the country.
The statement comes after Iran struck two vessels attempting to pass through the strategic waterway. According to state television, the Iranian navy said that “two ships attempting to illegally pass through the Strait of Hormuz were hit”.
