Iranian state media reported explosions in several cities, including Tehran, Isfahan and Tabriz, as Israel launched what appeared to be a new round of attacks on targets in western and central Iran.
State broadcaster IRIB said multiple explosions were heard in the affected cities, while the IRNA news agency reported at least two powerful blasts in Tehran and three in Isfahan.
The reported attacks came after Iran launched ballistic missiles toward northern Israel overnight, which Tehran said were carried out in response to Israeli actions in Lebanon.
Iranian officials have previously warned that any new Israeli strikes would prompt further retaliation, raising concerns that the latest exchange could lead to a broader escalation between the two countries.
