Iran’s missiles have been aimed at northern and central Israel.
Sources told the Daily Mirror around 20 were fired – at least one from the Iranian region of Karaj. Other missiles were fired from Khuzestan Province, in Iran.
Sirens blared throughout Israel as additional launches were fired by Iran, and Tel Aviv has warned Washington it will launch revenge strikes, according to sources.
On Sunday night, Israeli officials within the Ministry of Health were preparing emergency measures, including moving hospitals to underground bunkers.
It is believed most, if not all, of Iran’s missiles have been intercepted by 8.40pm BST, and Israel may already have launched a retaliation.
Sources said Israel’s Ramat David Air Base may have come under fire.
Major explosions were reportedly heard in Tabriz, in eastern Iran, and more waves of missiles were heading for Israel by late evening and were mostly intercepted.
