Arsenal are striving to build on this season’s Premier League title success and they’re ready to splash big money in the transfer market once again
Arsenal are armed with huge cash following a historic season as they look to upgrade several areas of Mikel Arteta’s Premier League title-winning squad.
The Gunners oversaw a club-record transfer window last summer and this time around, there’s a firm chance they could shell out big money again on a number of top players.
Andrea Berta and his No.2 Maurizio Micheli have already started work on delivering the goods for Arteta in the market but this summer’s landscape is complicated by the World Cup.
National team bosses will be keen to avoid unwanted distractions, which is why we may see transfer activity shelved until after the tournament when there could be a flurry of moves ahead of the 2026-27 campaign.

Despite links with Eintracht Frankfurt left-back Nathaniel Brown, Arsenal’s backline is largely expected to remain unchanged moving forward.
There is potential scope to sign a left-back now Myles Lewis-Skelly has moved into midfield and PSG youngster Emmanuel Mbemba is a name of interest, though he is not likely to be a player that challenges for an immediate starting spot.
David Raya, Riccardo Calafiori, Gabriel Magalhaes, William Saliba and Jurrien Timber are Arsenal’s first-choice back-four, however, a new right-back is on the agenda as there is a chance Ben White moves on.
In midfield, Sandro Tonali is on Arsenal’s radar, though Newcastle would demand a fee upwards of the £55million they paid to land him from AC Milan in 2023.
While a £100m asking price has been reported, a transfer around the £70m mark might be possible if Tonali pushes for an exit. Newcastle will be keen to drive an auction, though, with Manchester City and Manchester United among his admirers.
Tonali would surely partner Declan Rice in midfield if he were to sign at the Emirates while in attack, things could look very different next term.
Bradley Barcola has been tracked and he would be expected to start on the left if he was to green-light a switch to Arsenal from PSG. He too could cost around £70m as he’s entered the final two years of his deal in Paris.
Morgan Rogers is also on Arsenal’s shortlist but Aston Villa are only likely to consider offers in the region of £80m following his excellent season as he helped fire Unai Emery’s men to Europa League glory in Istanbul.
Up top, Julian Alvarez remains a dream target, though he still favours a move to Barcelona over a return to the Premier League. If Arsenal were to somehow twist his arm and strike an agreement with Atletico Madrid, he could cost up to £103m (€120m).
Bukayo Saka would complete the attack on the right and on paper, Arsenal’s potential starting XI next term if they land all of these said targets, looks somewhat frightening.
