Morgan Gibbs-White is on Arsenal’s transfer shortlist as a potential alternative to Morgan Rogers.
The Gunners want to sign a new No.10 this summer and have identified Rogers, 23, as their top target, following another impressive season at Aston Villa, where he scored 14 goals and added 12 assists in 55 appearances. Paris Saint-Germain also want Rogers, as they look to strengthen after winning the Champions League.
But if Mikel Arteta’s side can’t land the £80million-rated Rogers, Gibbs-White, 26, is among their other options. The Nottingham Forest midfielder impressed in 2025/26, netting 18 goals and providing seven assists in 53 matches.
Although his form wasn’t enough for him to be called up to Thomas Tuchel’s England squad for the World Cup, Gibbs-White is still attracting significant interest this summer, with Arsenal monitoring his situation.

According to The Sun, Gibbs-White is on Arsenal’s shortlist as a possible alternative to Rogers. Tottenham and Aston Villa have also been linked with a move for the ex-Wolves and Sheffield United man.
Gibbs-White looked set to join Spurs 12 months ago, but instead signed a lucrative new contract until June 2028 after Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis persuaded him to stay.
Marinakis would again be unlikely to let him leave without a fight – especially with £100m-rated teammate Elliot Anderson linked with Manchester City and Manchester United.
With Gibbs-White not in the England squad for the World Cup, he instead put his disappointment behind him by spending the weekend with his girlfriend at the Monaco Grand Prix.
While at the Formula 1, Gibbs-White was asked about his summer plans by Sky Sports reporter Craig Slater, with the Forest vice-captain appearing to keep his cards close to his chest.
He said: “Complete rest, spend good quality time with the family and the kids. Out here now with the missus, so going to enjoy a few days with no kids, have a few drinks and hopefully chill out.”
Gibbs-White was then quizzed about England’s chances at the World Cup. The Three Lions kickstart their tournament on Wednesday, June 17 against Croatia before facing Ghana and Panama.
He continued: “They have the best chance they have had in many years with the manager and players they have got. It’s a real good group of guys, good group of players, incredible talent and I wish them all the best.”
Arsenal are looking to bolster their squad after winning the Premier League title for the first time in 22 years. As well as a new No.10, the Gunners also want to add a new left winger to their squad.
