The Lebanese Civil Defence said five people, including a paramedic, were killed and another person wounded in an Israeli strike on the southern town of Zibdin, as Israel continued airstrikes and artillery shelling across southern Lebanon.
According to reports, Israeli attacks also targeted the towns of Tirdaba and al-Shahabiya in the Tyre district, al-Marwaniyya in the Sidon district, and Mayfadoun in Nabatieh.
Meanwhile, the Israeli military instructed residents in northern Israel to move to protected areas after detecting rocket fire from Hezbollah, which said it had engaged several Israeli aircraft with surface-to-air missiles.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Friday that there is currently “no agreement” with Lebanon on a ceasefire.
