Jubilation and success can do funny things to people, just ask Soccer Aid star and passionate Arsenal fan Jack Whitehall, who had an amusing exchange with one Gunner
Jack Whitehall was one of the lucky few to celebrate with the Arsenal stars on the pitch at Selhurst Park. The popular comedian, actor and television personality is a diehard Gunner who has relished every moment of their Premier League success.
He would have also been left heartbroken by their penalty shootout loss to Paris Saint-Germain in Saturday night’s Champions League final. Nevertheless, Whitehall will put that behind him to welcome Arsenal back for their trophy parade on Sunday.
However, he was wone of the lucky few to be on the turf after the victory over Crystal Palace, which saw Mikel Arteta’s side finally get their hands on the Premier League title. It was there, Whitehall was able to speak with Piero Hincapie, who had contributed one of the funniest moments of the campaign not long before.
The Ecuadorian’s backside was revealed to the rest of the world when Burnley defender Axel Tuanzebe accidentally yanked his shorts down.
When Whitehall approached Hincapie, as the defender cradled his winners’ medal, there was only one thing the British comedian had in his mind.
Whitehall, who will be competing in Soccer Aid for UNICEF on Sunday May 31st, exclusively told football.london: “One of my best moments of being on the pitch at Selhurst Park. Hincapie was next to me with, I think, his brother. He had his medal and they were all feeling his medal.

“I went up to him and asked ‘Can I have a quick feel? To see what it’s like in the flesh?’ He said, ‘Yes’ and I grabbed his bum. He went ‘stop it’.
“I think he just about got the joke. It was quite a bold move for a man I have never met before. But I just could not resist the gag. I can attest, it was a very impressive glute.”
Whitehall will surely be involved in the trophy celebrations on Sunday when the Premier League title will be paraded in the capital. It promises to be another jubilant day for all those on the red side of London, despite the loss to PSG.
Before the Gunners’ clash against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final, Whitehall urged his heroes to kick the French heavyweights’ backside and win the big-eared European trophy for the first time.
He added: “Down there, on the pitch, getting in and amongst it as the team celebrated with their friends and family. It was an amazing day and an amazing week.
“I left the house last Tuesday, handed my toddler to my wife and I have barely been back since.”
