The 2026 summer transfer window is nearly here and the richest clubs in the Premier League are once again expected to spend big ahead of the new campaign.
Last year, Liverpool broke the English top flight transfer record on two occasions by signing Florian Wirtz and Alexander Isak, Chelsea secured the signatures of Joao Pedro, Jamie Gittens, Estevao Willian and several others, while Arsenal strengthened their squad with several notable additions, including Eberechi Eze and Martin Zubimendi.
Manchester United bolstered their attack with Benjamin Sesko, Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha, and Manchester City added the likes of Tijjani Reijnders, Rayan Cherki and Gianluigi Donnarumma.
This summer, a number of high-profile English stars have been widely tipped to secure blockbuster transfers, including players such as Elliot Anderson, Anthony Gordon and Adam Wharton.
A number of deals have already been finalised ahead of the summer window. Chelsea have signed Geovany Quenda, Denner, Dastan Satpaev and Emmanuel Emegha, while Liverpool beat the Blues to the signature of Stade Rennais centre-back Jeremy Jacquet.
In addition, Arsenal have sold Jakub Kiwior to FC Porto and Karl Hein to Werder Bremen, Brentford have signed young Austrian defender Jannik Schuster from RB Salzburg, and Ipswich Town have added Chuba Akpom and Cedric Kipre on permanent transfers following loan spells at the club last season.
Moreover, numerous players will become free agents at the end of their contracts this summer, and several notable departures have already been announced. Liverpool will part ways with Mohamed Salah and Andy Robertson, Man City with Bernardo Silva and John Stones and Man Utd with Casemiro.
