The Israeli army has claimed to have attacked 135 “Hezbollah targets” over the last day in its renewed strikes on the region, in violation of the ceasefire.
The most recent strike has hit an apartment of a residential building in southern Beirut, which the Israeli military has described as a “precision strike” thought to be a targeted assassination.
This is the second strike in Beirut since mid-April, the first of which occurred on 6 May, when Israel said it was targeting a Hezbollah commander.
