Sports247 reports that, while urging all members of the outfit to lend him hands of support in order to take the group farther forward and to greater heights, Yusuf pledged to transform the association into a viable platform for retired footballers.

Yusuf also promised to make the group all-inclusive for football stakeholders in The Sunshine State and assured them that his long-standing ambition was all along motivated by a clear agenda for enhanced development of the association.

The former Sunshine Stars FC of Akure player stated further during the new executive committee’s inauguration at Ondo State Sports Council that the fresh board quickly achieved an unprecedented feat by securing an office and a restaurant for members.

Yusuf disclosed affirmatively, “I have been looking for the opportunity to lead this noble association for a long time, and I thank God that the opportunity has finally come. I already have a blueprint and agenda for the association.

“That is why implementation of all projects will be easier. This is just the tip of the iceberg. But, the executive cannot do it alone. We must all come together as one big family and move the association to an enviable position.”
