The UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) said it received reports of an “external explosion” near a vessel 60 nautical miles off the coast of Oman.
Though some fuel leaked into the sea from the tanker after damage was sustained to its port side, all crew members and passengers were reportedly safe.
UKMTO added that authorities are looking into the incident.
