Perez approves Fernandez pursuit

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has greenlit the potential signing of Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez, TEAMtalk claims.

Perez is expected to be re-elected as Los Blancos boss after calling for extraordinary elections on short notice, and he wants to rebuild the club’s midfield with incoming manager Jose Mourinho.

The club’s recruitment department has identified Fernandez, who dreams of joining Real Madrid, as a superior option to Liverpool midfielder Alexis Mac Allister, though Perez’s personal preference remains doing a deal for Man City star Rodri.

Chelsea are “pushing hard” for Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott, as per Blues insider @secretsourc on X.

It is claimed that discussions over a move for the 22-year-old are “ramping up,” though other Premier League heavyweights are also keeping tabs on him. It was recently reported that Bournemouth are planning to hand him a new contract.

Scott has two years left on his current deal. The Cherries are reluctant to sell him and are demanding as much as €75 million for the England international.

Chelsea “prepare” Maignan offer

Chelsea are ready to revive their interest in AC Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan, according to Calciomercato.

The Blues failed to sign the France international last summer, with Maignan eventually signing a contract extension. However, Milan’s failure to qualify for the Champions League could make the shot-stopper reconsider his future.

It has been suggested that incoming Chelsea boss Xabi Alonso wants an experienced, world-class No.1. The report claims that Chelsea are “ready to make an offer” for Maignan.

Fresh Pedro talks

Barcelona officials are once again in London to discuss a deal for Chelsea forward Joao Pedro, Gerard Romero states.

The Catalans’ sporting director, Deco, was already in the city during the FA Cup final weekend, with Barcelona having made Pedro a key summer target due to concerns over the cost of priority option Julian Alvarez.

It is claimed that fresh discussions are being held, though Pedro has not yet expressed a desire to leave Chelsea. The Blues do not want to lose the Brazilian under any circumstances this summer.
