Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney told Israeli President Isaac Herzog that Israel’s treatment of civilians aboard the Gaza-bound flotilla was “unacceptable” during a phone call between the two leaders.
In a summary of the conversation posted on X, Carney said he stressed the need for de-escalation across the Middle East and called for a genuine resumption of dialogue among all parties.
He added that achieving peace and stability in the region should remain the shared objective of all sides.
