Trump says Iran talks 'proceeding constructively' as blockade to remain until deal

US President Donald Trump said on Sunday that negotiations with Iran are “proceeding in an orderly and constructive manner”.

He added he had instructed his representatives not to rush into an agreement, adding that “time is on our side”.

Posting on Truth Social, Trump said the naval blockade on Iran would remain in place until a deal is reached.

“Both sides must take their time and get it right. There can be no mistakes!,” he wrote.

“Our relationship with Iran is becoming a much more professional and productive one. They must understand, however, that they cannot develop or procure a Nuclear Weapon or Bomb.”
