US Secretary of State Marco Rubio labelled Iran the top sponsor of “terrorism” across the world.
Speaking at a press conference in New Delhi, Rubio said “no nation on earth sponsors more terrorism than Iran.”
Rubio claimed that Iran did not spend money on building roads and instead invests in sponsoring terror groups.
“The world’s leading sponsor of terrorism is Iran. Look at what they are doing now,” said Rubio.
“They are holding hostage civilian vessels…they’ve laid mines in an international waterway.”
The top US diplomat also vowed to reporters that Iran would not have a nuclear weapon as negotiations between the two nations remain ongoing.
