Israel warns Iran-US deal ‘not good’: Report

Israeli officials have criticised the emerging agreement between Washington and Tehran, warning it fails to address what they describe as broader threats beyond Iran’s nuclear programme.

Speaking to Israeli media, one official said the proposed framework leaves major issues unresolved.

“The framework agreement is not good, and even if a final agreement is signed and all enriched uranium is removed from Iran, which is a big ‘if’, the deal does not address the issue of Iran’s missile program or its network of regional proxies,” the official said.

Officials in Jerusalem also fear the deal could limit Israel’s operational freedom, particularly in Lebanon and across the wider region.

“Nothing is final yet, but this is an agreement that could affect whether and how we are able to operate,” an Israeli official told The Jerusalem Post.
