Iran’s Revolutionary Guard dismissed US President Donald Trump’s latest social media comments as propaganda, saying Tehran has made no commitments regarding its nuclear programme.
According to Iran’s Fars news agency, the IRGC said the nuclear issue has not been discussed at the current stage of negotiations despite Trump previously describing it as a central condition of any agreement.
Fars reported that Iranian officials maintained no commitments had been made by Tehran on its nuclear activities.
The report also claimed that US officials had privately told Iran that Trump’s public statements were largely intended for domestic political and media audiences in the United States and should not be interpreted as reflecting the substance of ongoing discussions.
