Iranian foreign minister Abbas Araghchi held separate phone calls with his counterparts from Iraq, Turkiye and Qatar to discuss regional developments and ongoing Pakistan-mediated talks between Tehran and Washington.
The discussions included Iraqi foreign minister Fuad Hussein, Turkish foreign minister Hakan Fidan and Qatari Prime Minister and foreign minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani.
According to the Iraqi foreign ministry, Araghchi told Hussein that progress had been made in the latest round of negotiations, particularly regarding a new negotiating document.
Both sides also praised Pakistan’s role in facilitating the talks and noted Qatar’s participation in the current stage of the diplomatic process.
