Wilshere hints at Dowman loan

Former Arsenal favourite Jack Wilshere has admitted that he would love to loan Gunners wonderkid Max Dowman at Luton Town.

The 16-year-old previously played under the ex-midfielder, with Wilshere remarkably handing Dowman his U18s debut aged just 13. Wilshere is now in charge of League One side Luton, finishing seventh in the season just gone.

Asked by eSPORTY whether he would like to reunite with Dowman, Wilshere answered in the affirmative. “The answer to that is yes! Whoever Mikel [Arteta] doesn’t want, I’ll just call him and ask him.”

Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus has yet again spoken about his desire to eventually return to boyhood club Palmeiras.

The Brazil international, who has struggled with injury problems in recent years, is facing an uncertain future at the Emirates and appears quite likely to depart this summer. Palmeiras have been linked with him for years and previously explored a move to bring him back to the club.

Speaking to ESPN, Jesus has yet again reiterated his wish to return. “I think about it every day, I follow it closely,” he said. “It’s my dream, I’ve made it clear that one day I’ll be back, I just don’t know when, if it’s today, tomorrow, so I think about it every day.”

Arsenal scout Banks

Arsenal have been keeping close tabs on Noahkai Banks’ development at Augsburg, according to Sky Germany.

The US youth international is coming off a breakout Bundesliga season, though he lost his place in the team in the final games of the campaign. He was perhaps dropped because of his desire to take the next step in his career this summer.

The centre-back, who is also eligible to play for Germany, was targeted by Roma in January. Arsenal view him as an “intriguing long-term option,” but whether their interest will lead to an offer is unclear.

Eze under threat?

Arsenal’s strong interest in Bournemouth attacker Eli Kroupi suggests that Eberechi Eze’s place in the team could be under threat.

Signing an attacker is a priority for Arteta this summer, and the French teenager has become a key target for the Gunners after his remarkable debut season for Bournemouth in the Premier League.

There are substantial similarities between Kroupi and Eze, which suggests that the latter could be provided with strong competition. Eze has had his moments this season, but he has been unable to consistently contribute.
