Arsenal set to hand out three new contracts

Arsenal will celebrate their new Premier League title by offering three big-money contracts to three crucial figures of their championship campaign.

CaughtOffside claim that Jurrien Timber will be the first player to get a new contract, with the Dutchman’s current deal set to expire in 2028.

Declan Rice is also in line for a new deal but talks are not said to be as advanced as Timber’s contract, although initial discussions have taken place which are described as ‘positive’.

Mikel Arteta will also be handed a substantial new contract with a significant pay rise, although this was planned regardless of Arsenal’s title fate, with his current deal expiring next year.

Mass exodus expected with up to eight players facing Arsenal exit

As many as eight players could also be sold this summer by Arsenal in a big restructure following the title win.

CBS Sports report that Ben White, Gabriel Jesus, Ethan Nwaneri, Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard are among those that could depart.

Martin Odegaard is among the players that could leave Arsenal this summer.

Kai Havertz and captain Martin Odegaard also face uncertain futures, with both players entering the final two years of their respective contracts.

Cristhian Mosquera, who only joined the Gunners from Valencia last summer, has become a target for Atletico Madrid, with Arsenal knowing they could make a substantial profit on a player who cost just €15m.

Arsenal target Kroupi deal

Arsenal want to sign Bournemouth forward Eli Junior Kroupi during the upcoming summer transfer window as they look to bolster their first-team squad with reinforcements ahead of next season, according to The Guardian.

FootballTransfers understands that a new full-back, a new central midfielder and a new attacker will be pursued by the Premier League champions, with Newcastle United trio Valentino Livramento, Sandro Tonali and Anthony Gordon all on their radar.

Bournemouth reportedly value Kroupi at around €92 million (£80m) and he would therefore become their club-record sale if he departs for that fee this summer, exceeding the €72m that Manchester City paid to secure the signing of Antoine Semenyo in January.

It’s understood that Arteta has made signing a new forward a “priority” for Arsenal before the start of next season, with Atletico Madrid superstar Julian Alvarez also seen as a top target by the Gunners hierarchy.

Reijnders deal explored by Arsenal

Arsenal could target Tijjani Reijnders in a summer move, with the midfielder looking like to leave Manchester City after just one season with the club.

Reijnders joined City last summer from Milan for €55 million and the 27-year-old has scored five times in 27 Premier League appearances, although he has been on the fringes of the team in recent months.

Accoridng to TEAMtalk, City would be open to Reijnders’ departure if they could recoup their money for the Dutchman, with Juventus seeing him as a ‘priority target’.

However, Arsenal have also placed Reijnders on their ‘longlist’ of targets to bolster their squad, while Aston Villa and Newcastle are also monitoring the situation.
