Arsenal were crowned Premier League champions for the first time in 22 years on Tuesday night after Manchester City were held to a 1-1 draw at Bournemouth
Arsenal have won their first Premier League title in 22 years after a topsy-turvy season and title race with Manchester City.
The Gunners were crowned champions after Manchester City were held to a 1-1 draw by Bournemouth, as Mikel Arteta’s side won the league with a game to spare. Arteta’s side have been top for most of the season and will lift the famous trophy following Sunday’s game against Crystal Palace.
And when it comes to medals, they will be distributed among the management team, players and club officials – however the Gunners see fit. As laid out by rule C.13 in the Premier League Handbook, Arsenal will receive 40 commemorative medals.

And any player who has made at least five Premier League appearances during the current campaign for the Gunners will be automatically entitled to one.
Additional medals can be sought. They require the consent of the Premier League Board, however, and will only be granted if more than 39 players have fulfilled the five Premier League appearance criteria.
And the Gunners have 24 members of their squad who have made five or more appearances in the Premier League so far this season. That includes youngster Max Dowman, who has five to his name.
Arsenal star Declan Rice posted a picture on Instagram with his team-mates with the caption “I told you all.. it’s done.”
Former boss Arsene Wenger, who led the team to their last title, in 2004, featured in a celebratory post from the Gunners on their X account.
He said: “You did it. Champions go on when others stop. This is your time. Now, go on and enjoy every moment.”
Gunners icon David Seaman, who made more than 400 appearances for Arsenal between 1990 and 2003, said on X: “Premier League champions!!! What a moment!!! What a season!!!!!!!! EPIC!!!!!!!!!! Longest (22 years and ) three minutes of MY LIFE…”
And Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola, who had Arteta as his assistant for two of City’s Premier League titles, paid tribute to his Gunners counterpart.
He said: “We were close. On behalf of everyone at Manchester City, we congratulate Mikel and all the staff, players and fans on winning the Premier League. They deserve it, for so much hard work and effort.”
