Arsenal took a huge step towards the Premier League title with a win over Burnley this evening
Arsenal could win the Premier League title tomorrow night if Manchester City are unable to take maximum points against Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium.
The Gunners defeated already relegated Burnley to move a huge step closer to the Premier League title, thanks to a first-half header from Kai Havertz.
Mikel Arteta’s side were in complete control against the Clarets, but it was still a nervy occasion for Arsenal, having gone so close to winning the title in recent seasons.
A draw for Pep Guardiola’s side against Andoni Iraola’s men will not be enough to take the title race to the final day of the season, meaning they’d have four points behind the Gunners with one game to play.
Defeat would also end Manchester City’s hopes of winning the Premier League title. A win, of course, would take things to the final day of the season.
Arsenal are set to take on Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park, while City host Aston Villa at the Etihad Stadium. The Villans have all but secured Champions League football for next season, but Bournemouth are still in a battle for European football.
As for Palace, they’ve little to play for domestically, but have a Conference League final on the horizon and could rest players ahead of that clash with Rayo Vallecano next week.

It could be a historic end to the season for Arsenal, who appeared to have blown their bid to claim a first league title since Arsene Wenger’s ‘Invincibles’ in 2003-04, after their 2-1 defeat to City on April 19.
However the Gunners, who have been runners-up in the league for the past three seasons, have not conceded in their last four league games and bounced back with a swagger.
They’re now in pole position to shake off their tag of being ‘nearly men’, and earn Arteta the second trophy of his near seven-year tenure.
They could complete a league and European cup double when they take on Paris St Germain on May 30th. It would be the club’s first ever Champions League title if they win in Budapest later this month.
Guardiola has urged his players to take the title race to the final day of the season and looking ahead to the Bournemouth clash, he said: “They are 16-17 games unbeaten. The run is unbelievable.
“The only chance we have is to win the game. We have to break that run, otherwise it will be over.
“When you arrive in the last fixtures and you are playing for something important, and the opponent is not playing for anything it is always easier.
“That is not the case tomorrow and they have had 10 days just thinking about us. Now we start to think about them.
“But it is what it is. We are used to it. It is not complicated. We have to win.”
