Arsenal have won the Premier League title for the first time in 22 years after Manchester City failed to beat Bournemouth, sparking wild scenes at the Emirates Stadium
Arsenal supporters have descended upon the Emirates Stadium in their droves to celebrate the club’s first Premier League title in 22 years, and have been joined by club legend Ian Wright.
The Gunners put pressure on Man City on Monday evening, dispatching Burnley 1-0 at the Emirates, before turning their attention to the South Coast where City faced Bournemouth. Any result other than a City victory would hand Mikel Arteta ‘s side the title.
Eli Junior Kroupi curled the ball into the far corner of Gianluigi Donnarumma’s net in the 40th minute to send Arsenal wild – City salvaged a draw through Erling Haaland late into stoppage time, but it wasn’t enough for Pep Guardiola’s side as Arsenal were confirmed as champions.

Videos of the Emirates Stadium rapidly circulated across social media, with supporters igniting flares to mark their first title triumph in over two decades. In one clip, filmed outside the Armoury, Arsenal fans are seen celebrating arm-in-arm while embracing one another. In another, a flare illuminates the night sky red as chants of “champions, champions, ole, ole, ole,” ring out.
Pictures also show fans joined by Wright, who is in the middle of the celebrations. The former striker turned pundit was part of the squad that won the title back in the 1997/98 season.
“Look at how the Arsenal fans are celebrating in front of the Emirates stadium That’s the joy that has been delayed for years,” one supporter shared, reports the Daily Star.
“North London and the Emirates Stadium is rocking,” a second proclaimed. While a third posted: “It’s absolute bedlam at the Emirates Stadium!
“I’m so pleased for our young fans who are experiencing this for the first time. Now everyone at the Emirates knows why it is to be the champions,” a fourth wrote. And another added: “Someone teleport me to the Emirates RIGHT NOW!”
Arsenal will lift the Premier League trophy on Sunday, when they make the short trip to Selhurst Park for their final-day showdown against Crystal Palace. Attention will then turn to the Champions League final vs PSG just under a week later.
